A Glads House Boy
We help and support ‘street children’ and ‘street youth’ to leave street life and reintegrate into local communities. We do this in a number of ways:
Our first priority is always to try to reunite these children and young people with their families.
Where this is not possible and after a suitable time working with social workers and teachers to deal with the issues these children and young people inevitably have, the programme follows one of two routes:
1. Place the children in foster homes and return them to full-time education.
2. For those unable to return to full time education, provide training and the opportunity to join an ‘enterprise scheme’, giving them a skill they can take through life. We also provide supervised accommodation, as well as access to informal education
